From a dashing dude, Raahil Azam transforms into a woman for CID. BT tracks the metamorphosis
'Man, I feel like a
Shania Twain. She has someone in our telly world who might sing in chorus with her. It's Raahil Azam, better known as Ashmit of Ye Meri Life Hai. Rahil may have had nubile nymphets go weak in their knees as the good-looking businessman in YMLH and now in CID too. But, it was a different sight one got to see for his show CID, in which he let his feminine side out, what with transforming into a woman's get up
Raahil drives in to SJ studio at 10 am, sporting an unshaven look in a blue knitted T-shirt and white trousers, looking dapper. A look at him and no one would guess that he's to change into a woman's avatar soon! Let's take a step-by-step look at how it was all done.
Raahil plays Nakul, an international crook and ACP Pradyuman's son in CID. His accomplice Daksh (Manav Gohil) is injured and hospitalised, and Nakul has to kill him, lest he reveal Nakul's truth to the CID. So he comes in the disguise of a nurse to administer a toxic injection. Raahil shaves off his stubble, as he needs a clean shaven look to pass off as a girl. Soon, makeup artiste Imtiaz applies base make-up.
To get the perfect eye make-up of a girl, Imtiaz begins with application of pink eye-shadow, followed by eyeliner to give a feminine look. False eyelashes are glued and kaajal is applied on the lower eyes. Eyebrows are softened with a pencil since they cannot be shaped. Then Raahil's lips are contoured and light pink lipstick is
applied. Liquid foundation is applied to give matt finish and have the make-up stay longer. Then, nose, cheeks, chin and forehead are given shading with rouge application to add a feminine touch.
The make-up done, Raahil changes into a nurse's uniform before fixing the wig Replete with white frock and shoes, he is now ready for the hairstyle. Imtiaz fixes a brown, short and straight-haired wig over the net on Raahil's hair. Nurse's cap is also pinned in place.
Raahil as charlatan
Nakul is now ready in the garb of a nurse with a file and injection syringe, geared up to enter the ICU room and inject a lethal dose into Daksh. He is ready for the kill, literally, in the show and for the audiences with his looks too!
