Meanwhile, Peshwa Bajirao along with his family decides to go for a dip at Ganga ghat. However, their dip and prayers are interrupted by Vaadrayan, a powerful and mighty Kanyakubj Brahmin from Bithoor, who detests Brahmins from other clans. Hearing Vaadrayan insult Peshwa further, Manu retorts and cites a versa from the Upanishads that states the real meaning of Brahaminism.
