Scene continues from Jagya convincing Sumitra to give him Rs.500. Sumitra gives him the money and Jagya comes out happily counting the money. On seeing Anandi, he hides the money behind his back. Anandi tells him that she is not talking to him, nor is she bothered to know what he is hiding behind his back. Jagya leaves. He goes down to Sunder and tells him that he got the money. Anandi sees this and wonders what they are talking about. Gehna comes there and Anandi tells her that she doesn't like Sunder and that Jagya was not studying ever since he became friends with him. She is about to tell Gehna about the smoking, but stops herself, thinking she doesn't want Jagya in trouble now, so close to the exams. She would tell Sumitra after exams if Jagya doesn't change.
Jagya goes with Sunder to Ballu's hideout. He gives Ballu Rs. 300 and collects his watch. He tells Sunder that he doesn't want to play and wants to leave. All boys tease him again and force him to play. Jagya plays cards and wins all the money. Sunder asks Ballu why he let Jagya win. Ballu tells him that he was luring Jagya into playing again by letting him win once. Sunder is happy. He leaves with Jagya
Shyam goes to MS's house. It was Radha who had sent him a message to meet him. Shyam talks to his mother, who tells him to come back home..without Suguna of course. Shyam says that he can't break his promise and cannot leave Suguna. Radha gets mad and tells Shyam that he has broken all his relations for that one relationship with Suguna. Shyam tries to convince Radha that Suguna is his wife now and she has to accept that.He takes her blessings and turns around to leave. MS, brother and his wife stand at their door. He takes everyone's blessings and leaves. MS thinks Shyam came to visit on his own. He tells Radha that they have lost a son. Tauji tells him that Shyam will definitely return.
Back at the haveli, Shyam tells Suguna that he has got something for her and gives her a small box. Suguna refuses to open it, but Shyam insists. It turns out that Shyam got rakhis for Suguna, so she can tie one to Jagya the next day. Suguna is touched. Some staring game between the two. In the kitchen, Anandi and Sumitra prepare food for the next day. Jagya comes there and asks Sumitra why they were cooking kheer at night. Sumitra reminds him that its raksha bandhan the next day. Jagya yells at her for not reminding him earlier as he has nothing to gift Suguna now.
Jagya goes to his room and sees a bead necklace with a note there. The note is from Anandi. Anandi made the necklace for Suguna so that she would not be disappointed that Jagya forgot. Jagya is happy.
In the morning, everyone prays to god. Sumitra gets a letter from Madhav who received her rakhi.In his room, Jagya gets ready. Sunder comes there and steals the bead necklace. Jagya comes out and looks for the necklace saying it was for Suguna. In fear of being caught, Sunder stealthily keeps the necklace back and gives it to Jayga who goes down.
In the leaving room, Maasa ties rakhis to her two sons, since they have no sisters (so weird). Basanth gives Maasa money and Sunder eyes it. Bhairav gives Maasa a ghagra and she's happy. Suguna then ties rakhi to Jagya. He gives Suguna the bead necklace that Anandi made. Suguna is happy and hugs Jagya that he is the best brother. Jagya looks at Anandi guiltily. Suguna ties Anandi a rakhi too. Suguna teases Anandi to give her a gift. Anandi doesn't know what to do. Jagya then jumps and gives Suguna money on behalf of Anandi. Everyone is so happy and Maasa thinks that Jagya asked for money to give Suguna. She again asks Jagya to come first in class.
Jagya leaves with Sunder on the pretext of studying. Anandi feels bad that she has no brother. Gehna tells her to tie rakhi to Kanhaji. Anandi looks at Shyam. She asks Shyam if she can tie him rakhi. Shyam happily agrees. Anandi ties Shyam rakhi. Suguna looks happy. Shyam gives Anandi money.
Message : Rakhi is a festival that not only strenghens brotherly relationships but creates new relationships too.
Precap : Anandi tries to study after all chores. Daadisa drives her to do some work. Anandi cries that she is unable to study. She laments why her parents got her married....
