I feel overconfidence is different from superiority complex. The term 'complex' itself refers to a psychological disorder of a kind. People displaying superiority complex are actually highly insecure. They lack self worth. In order to feel better about themselves they pretend to feel and act superior to others. They feel that they can compensate their insecure feelings by bringing others down. Such complexes can be biological due to chemical imbalances and gentic make up for hypertension and depression. Or it can be sociological due to negative social experiences. It can be managed by prescription pills or therapy.

Now overconfidence on the other hand is when a person oversteps the boundary of confidence. Overconfidence occurs when either a person is too good at something or they are mediocre but have too much false praise and lucky breaks. Its a thin line between confidence and overconfidence and most people have a hard time balancing it.

At the same time I think people are too sensitive with the confidence of people. Sometimes society expects excessive humility. For some reason its considered better to downplay ones own abilities instead of confidently acknowledging ones strengths. If someone is really good at something I do not think there is anything wrong with them being aware of it and stating it. It seems that if someone is well aware of their abilities, people are ready to beat them down for being overconfident. Its almost as if we as a society have a complex in letting people know and acknowledge that they are much better at something than us.

Racism, Misogyny etc are whole new topics on their own.

Those who always compare with another or those who feel ego those people effect these superior complex....but its true that millions of people, who are different in many ways...superior then us,intelligent than us,beautiful than us,taller than us,famous than us n blah blah....those who feel supperior they will not see these millions of people.....but its true that people like to meet people who are in some way inferior to them....and people like to meet ,who support their ego...a superior person always choose those thing that make him superior...his mind cant be stable.........and I think its true that a superior person in his deep mind keep the inferiority complex....its better we treat them with honesty,humanity.....Big smile
