The Opposition parties are not taking the film Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav too kindly. In the state capital, massive posters to advertise the film are coming up all over the place. Unerringly, the posters carry the pictures of Laloo with a baton in his hand. The promos are also being published in dailies. The newspaper advertisements publicising the release of the film also carry captions lauding Laloo. "Jo Laloo Ko Bhulega, Panch Saal Jhulega" reads one caption. Another caption describes Laloo as a super star of Indian politics who is now set to storm the Bollywood.
The film in which Laloo plays a cameo was initially slated for November release but now would be releasing on 28 January. The film has been extensively shot in South Africa. But it was also shot in Patna to accommodate a role for Laloo. The Opposition feels the release of the film has been delayed at the instance of Laloo. Both Bihar and Jharkhand will be going to first phase of the assembly poll on 3 February. Seems like one film that just cannot be missed.
