Part 1
~Scene opens on the outskirts of a small but beautiful town
called Musoorie. Situated among the lush valleys and striking mountains the
town is known for its year around beauty. Its peaceful atmosphere contrasts
that of busy and noisy cities. The town has a convenient market place, a
well-known railway and bus station that connects the town to big cities, and
set amongst these localities are small but very comfortable homes that have foundations
laid by simplistic and loving people. Among many houses there is one
particular house that is owned by Shashank Gupta, the well known and the only
specialized doctor of the small town who runs the town's small clinic with care
and knowledge. Following up to his room, he is seen sitting on his study table
writing something in his diary… ~~
"Kabhi kabhi soochta hoon kitna anhooka hota hain beytiyoon ka sansaar. Jahan bachpan se palti hain, barti hain vahi se saari yaadein smate kay dosray ghar chali jaati hain naye yaadein bana nay kay liye. Beytiyaan hoti hi bahut nazukh aur anmol hain. Inka pyar hameesha humaray agan mein chalakta rehta hain aur hum iss pyaar kay aadi se hojatey hain. Beyti ka baap chahay pardes mein behta koi bahut bara business men ho ya phir meri tarah aik chootay sehair Musoori mein doctor, dono ki khawish aik he hoti hain, kay uski beyti ko duniya ki saari khusiyaan mill jaye, usko lad aur pyaar se bigara jaye, aur aik din kissi raj kumar kay saath viah kay vida kar diya jaye. Meri do beytiyaan hain Muskaan aur Nikita. Nikita ghar ki choti hain aur sabse zaayda ladli bhi, kyunki uski baat koi taal nahi sakta, Pyaar si voh humari Chuthki ya phir Nikki hain. Aur Muskaan…voh meri bari beyti hain, meri Muski, humaray pooray ghar ki Muskaan. Muskaan aur Nikki dono aik saath bari huyi, dono mein 6 saal ka farq hain per iss farq nay kabhi dono ko aik doosray say dur ya alag nahi honay diya. Meri chooti se chooti baat ka dehyaan rehta hain meri Muski ko aur ho bhi kyun na akhir meri beyti apnay baba ka bachpan se he kahyaal rakhti aaye hain, jub se Padma (meri patni) meri chooti beyti Nikki kay saath lagi hain tub se Muski mera kahyaal rakh rahi hain. Uska pyaar bahray andaaz mein mujhay meri cheezein dena, meri shawl mujhay urahna, aur har subah ko uski aarti se shru karna, sub meri zindagi ka aik bahut ahem hisa hai per abb voh waqt aggaya hain jub meri Muski apnay ghar ki hojaye. Hastey gaatey waqt kaisey ghuzhar gaya pata he nahi chala per meri beyti abb bari hogaye hain, abb voh waqt agaya hain jub voh meray agan se apni yaadein lay kar dosray agan mein apni Muskaan se kissi aur kay ghar ko roshan kar day."
Nikki: Bauji….Bauji….!
Shashank: (smiles and closes his diary as he hears Nikita calling out to him)
Nikki: Bauji kaha hain app…?
Shashank: (goes out the room and walks towards the living room from where Nikki is calling out to him as Padma is trying to calm her down) Yahaan hoon chutki…kya hua…?
Padma: Arey app uth gaye…? Zaroor iski awaaz se…
Nikki: Bauji…! (She runs to Shashank and hugs him lovingly) Bauji meri first position aaye hain junior college mein…!
Shashank: Saach…!
Nikki: Bilqul Saach…dekhay na meri report, ajj subah he aaye hain…(she proudly gives Shashank the report card and as he reads it he smiles with pride as Nikita has gotten all A's this year)
Shashank: Aray Vah! Chutki itnay achay marks…saach meri beyti ki mehnat rang lay aye…iss baat per inaam toh milna he chiyay…kyun Padma?
Padma: Inaam…? Voh kyun…abhi kuch din pehlay he toh app ki laadli ko maine shopping kar kay de thi…phir se inaam?
Shashank: Inaam toh banta hain Padma…vaada jo kiya tha Chutki se…(Nikki smiles as Shashank blesses her by placing a gentle hand on her head)
Padma: Hmmm bus kaam he kya hain app ki Chutki ka…vaaday layna, Inaam layna, aur…
Shashank and Nikki (together): Ghar bhar ko sir per uthana! (they laugh while Padma just shakes her head seeing the father and daughter bond and tease her.)
Padma: Tum baap beyti yunhi mujhay tang kartay rehna…Haye Rabba…! Kitna kaam para hain…aur…
~~Before Padma went on with her daily routine list, all three on them were interrupted by Muskaan's sweet voice coming from the small temple in the house. She was singing the aarti and her voice carried through the serene house magically. Shashank instantly turned to where the voice was coming from while Padma and Nikki smiled hearing her voice. All three made their way towards the temple where they saw Muski dressed in simple lavender colored churidaar praying in front of the idol Krishna with her eyes closed and singing the Aarti. Muskaan's features are very delicate and simplistic, her long wavy hair compliments her elegant and thin figure, her shy rosy cheeks have a natural blush to them, her soft spoken lips mirror her nature, and her eyes are soft brownish in color, were reflecting her heart almost exactly. Purity and Simplicity is defined through her personality and poise and elegance alone fall short for her description. Shashank, Padma, and Nikki came and stood next to her and started to sing along while performing the rituals.~~
bhakti vivash ek prem pujaarin phir bhi deep jalaaye rahi hai
krishna ko gokul se radhe ko barasaane
se bulaaye rahi hai
dono karo swikaar kripaa kar jogan aarati gaaye rahi hai
bhor bhaye ti saanj dhale tak sevaa kaun itane mahaamaro
snaan karaaye wo vastra odhaaye vo bhog lagaaye wo laagat pyaaro
kabase niharat aapaki aur ki aap hamaari
aur nihaaron
raadhe krishnaa hamaare dhaam ko jaani vrindaawan dhaam padhaaro."
(After finishing she gives everyone the sweets that were placed as Parshad and in return takes Shashank and Padma's blessings and smiles.)
Shashank: Jeeti raho beyti…Hameesha khush raho…
Padma: Bahut achi aarti ki meri pyaari si beyti nay… (she kisses her forehead and hugs her lightly before she moves to Nikki who was standing waiting for her sweet Jiji.)
Muskaan: Ajj Nikki ki first position aaye thi na issi liye yeh sub kiya…Bus iss pooja mein yahi maangnay aaye thi kay Bhagwaan meri pyaari se Nikki ko hameesha khushiyaan de… (she caresses Nikki's hair and smiles while lifting her chin up as she hugs her with love.)
Nikki: Thank you Jiji…(she hugs her again)
Muskaan: You are welcome….my sweet sister…aur yeh raha tera gift…(She takes a small package that was neatly wrapped in gift paper from the table and hands it to her.)
Nikki: Jiji main yeh khool lo?
Muskana: hmmm khol lo….
Nikki: Wow…! (she exclaims as she takes out the fancy ink pen that had her name engraved on it.) personalized pen…Jiji appko kaisa pata mujhay yeh chiyay tha…
Shashank: Kabhi aisa hua hain Chutki kay tumhari Jiji ko teray dil ko koi baat na pata hoon…
Padma: Jaanti hain Nikki teray liye khud jaa kay lay kay aaye hain…
Nikki: Hmmm tabhi toh world ki best Jiji hain…
Padma:Bus bus hogaya tera yeh natak…abb chal kitchen mein chal kar meri thodi maddad karao…
Nikki: Per maa…! Mujhay friends kay saath jaana hain…kub se movie ka plan banaya hain…
Padma: Nahi tu aaj kahein nahi jarahi hain…
Shashank: Padma…ja…
Padma: Dekhay jee yeh aapkay laad nay na issko bahut bigar diya hain…kuch nahi shekha hain iss nay…
Nikki: Maa sheek loon gee na…per phir kabhi…per ajj nahi…please…!
Muskaan: (calmly walks over to Padma and gently puts her arms around her) Maa…ajj janay de Nikki ko…phir main ho na app ka saara kaam karnay kay liye…
Nikki: Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee…(she makes a puppy dog face in front of Padma)
Muskaan: Maa maan jaye na please…
Shashank: Padma Muski itna keh rahi hain abb maan bhi jao…
Padma: Hmmm…Muski kehrahi hain issi liye maan rahi hoon…per akhri baar haan…Dekh Nikki teri jiji nay apna Journalism aur Masters kahtam kar kay ghar ka saara kaam sambhal liya hain…abb teri baari hain…
Nikii: Maa mujhay na aik bara doctor bana hain…bahut bara…aur voh ghar sambhal nay say nahi kitabein sambhal nay say mumkin hain…
Padma: Oye! Tujhay toh main abhi dekhti hoon! (she says as Nikki runs up to her room while Muskaan and Shashank laugh watching the mother and daughter take on their fight.)
Shashank: Padma itna ghussa karogee toh blood pressure bahut bhar jaye ga…
Padma: Muskaan kay Bauji app na Nikita ko bahut bigar tay hain…ussay ka toh ghar mein mann he nahi lagta…pata nahi kya galti hogaye iss ki parvarish mein…
Muskaan: Nahi maa Nikki ki parvarish mein koi kami nahi hain…bus chooti hain na issi liye thodi badmaash hain per dekhna aik din voh app kay saath saara ghar sambhalay gee…
Shashank: Dekha Padma…meri Muski nay kitni sahi baat ki hain…
Padma: Sirf appki nahi meri bhi hain…(they both hug her and she smiles)
Muskaan: Maa…Bauji main abhi aaye…kitchen mein ramu kaka kay saath cake banay ka program hain ajj… Nikki ka favorite chocolate cake ajj sham ko tayaar hona chiyay, maine promise kiya tha ussay…
(Muskaan leaves smiling as Shashank and Padma smile watching her go. They were both feeling proud of their daughters as their simplistic upbringing had proven itself strong and trusting.)
Padma: Shashank…
Shashank: Jaanta hoon kya sooch rahi hoon Padma…
Padma: Haan shashank abb voh waqt agaaya hain jub humari Muskaan kissi aur kay ghat mein khilay…
Shashank: Bhaut jaldi waqt ghuzar gaya na?
Padma: Hmmm…acha waqt hameesha jaldi ghuzar jata hain….
Shashank: Meri Muskaan jahan per bhi jaaye gee vahaan khushiyaan he khusiyaan bikhar de gee..
Padma: Saach shashank abb toh bus yahi sapna hain humara kay humari dono beytiyaan apnay gharoon ki hojaye…phir zindagi mein koi aur khawish nahi hain…
Shashank: Sahi keh rahi hoon…Acha ajj mujhsay milnay meray aik puranay dost arahay hain…meray college fellow thay...yaad hain tumhay Omar Bahi….kaye saalon pehlay aaye thay?
Padma: Haan jub Muskaan bahut choti thi tub aaye thay aik dafa….sub khair toh hain na yun achanak?
Shashank: Haan voh apnay medical camp se vaapis Delhi jaraha tha toh usnay soocha mill kar chala jaaye, phir pata nahi kab millay…
Padma: Theek hain…phir main aur Muskaan kahnay ka kuch khaas intezaam kartay hain app abhi clinic ja rahay hain vaapsi mein unko station say saath he ghar lay aaye ga…theek hain na…
Shashank: Haan yeh theek rahay ga….chalo mein chalta hoon…Chuthki ko bheej do saath lay jata hoon raastey mein uski friend kay pass chor doonga…
Padma: Theek hain je…app tayaar hain toh main usko bhej day deti hoon
~Padma leaves to get Nikki as Shashnak puts on his shoes and is ready to leave when Muskaan comes in the living room and notices Shashank is looking for something. Shevgoes and gets his wallet and files that he was working on last night as she is sure that he is looking for those.~
Muskaan: Bauji yeh dhoond rahay hain? (She hands him the files and his wallet)
Shashank: Arey meri yeh patient file tumharay pass kasiey…
Muskaan: Kal raat app issay phartay phartay sogay thay…maine study mein rakh de thi…
Shashank: (smiles and puts his hand on her head gently) Meri beyti meri chezoon ka itna kahyaal karti hain kabhi kabhi toh lagta hain shayad mujhsay bhi zayada…
Muskaan: Nahi bauji aisa toh nahi hain….
Shashank: Jaanta hoon….Meri beyti subse achi hain… Acha batao bazaar se kuch lay kay aao…?
Muskaan: Nahi Bauji bus app jaldi ghar ajana….saath mill kay kahna kahye gay…
Shashank: Theek hain…(he smiles as Muski puts his shawl on from him before he heads out)
Nikki: Ready Bauji…? (she come from behind dressed to go out looking pretty in kurti and jeans)
Shashank: Bilqual…chal Chutki…
Nikki: Jee bauji…Okay Maa bye…
Padma: Yeh bye shay kay hota hain…? sahi tarah se paripuna kar aur jaa…
Nikki: (bows down and takes Padma's blessings) Abb theek hain?
Padma: Haan jeeti reh aur khush reh… aur yeh jeans ka bhoot teray demaag say jald he uttar jaye… (she says pulling down her already long kurti being an overprotective mom.)
Nikki: Bye jiji…(she hugs Muski and leaves with Shashank who waves at Muskaan and Padma before leaving.)
