MayUr ff- The Best Friend Lastpart Pg 141 (15/03)

My first try..is a one shot on MayUr.
Mayank -Lovable, sweet, masti khor but also very focussed and determined
Nupur- Fun, dedicated, lovable but also quite practical.
They are actors and are working together in a play. Owing to the constant rehearsals and performances together, they spend a lot of time together. They have been friends since their first day at college
Slowly, Mayank discovers that he may have fallen in love with his best buddy. He is apprehensive about her reaction to his feelings towards her. All the same he decides to tell her all about it.
After a rather hectic rehersal, she comes and sits next to him.
N - Hey Mayank, aaj tum kuch jyaada chup nahi ho?
M- Haan, hoon (thoughfully)
N- Tho aage bhi kuch batoge?
M- Woh kuch nahi
N- 2 saal se hum saat saat hai, isi play mein,aur us se pehle 3 saal college mein, tho itna tho mujhe pata hai tumhare baare mein
ab ye drama bandh karo aur seedhe seedhe bol do.
M- woh kya hai n nupur...hmmm
N- hmmm?
M- tum meri best friend ho na?
N- koi shaq?
M- haan
N- kya??? tum aise kaise bol sakte ho. aise kya hua yaaaaar? (sounding positively depressed)
M- arrey yaar shaq tumpar nahi mujhe khudpar hai?
N- tum ye peheliya kun bja rahe ho (now confused)
M- suno, aur aaram se suno. Mujhe lagta hai ki tum mereliye mere best friend se bhi jyaada ho

Nupur is uncharacteristically quiet.

M- Pata hai, yehi hoga tumhara reaction! *temper rising* . Suno, please is baat ko excuse rakhke mujse baat waat karna chod mat dena, phir mujse bura koi nahi hoga. tum meri best friend ho aur usse jyaada bhi ho, lekin mein hamesha tumhara best friend rahonga. Isliye door jaaneki sochna bhi mat! Aur haan, iske baad kabhi nahi kahoonga!
N- Tum mujpe chilla kyun rahe ho? meine tho kuch nahi kaha!
M- Par pata hai mujhe, bohot achese jaanta hoon tumhe
N- Haan sach hai, shayad meri sari reactions ko tumne cover kar diya, ab karna hi kya hai sivaye tumhare bataaye huye raaste par chalneka.
M- Kya? *sounding excited*
N- best friend wala rasta baba...
Then getting playful, waise mujhe kabhi nahi laga tha ki tum mujhe *grins*
M- *covering up the embarassment* Hello?tum tho aise bol rahi ho jaise maine tumhe propose kar diya hai.
N- kuch aise hi to baatein kar rahe they *playfully*
M- haan mazak banao, banao mazak mere haal-e-dil ka.
N- sorry yaar, mujhe tumhe hurt nahi karna hai, par tum janthe ho na meri priorities aur commitments in life, mein tho kuch aur soch bhi nahi sakti.
M- Jaantha hoon isliye tho, mein tumhe manane ki koshish nahi kar raha. Par ek baat hai, kabhi kahi tumhe koi aur ullu ka patta pasand aaye ya koi kahi tumhara dil na jeet le, isliye bus tumhe ye batha raha hoon ki mere dil mein aisa kuch hai. Taaki tum jaan lo, jab tumhare saare commitments katam ho jaaye, goals poore ho jaaye, aur mereliye thodi si jaga ban jaye ..tab tak mein intezaar karoonga. Aur ye dialogue nahi hai !
N- *feeling overwhelmed* Kash mein in commitments se free hoti, Mayank, sach mein is minute mein tumhara haat pakad leti (suddenly gaining control) ..lekin abhi tho no way!
M- *feeling a ray of hope *
He knows her only too well, she would never distract herself with such things, she's had a tough life. He dint want her to leave everything for him, cos that's one of her traits he admired. But he was glad, he hadn't mentioned his love but she had understood quite clearly. HE did love being in love with his best friend.She knew him so well...

thank u kanky...actually, there was this another bit which is what I had intended to write but finished at this, so I would write that as well I guess in some days 😊
