Dear Friends

Airtel Super Singer Junor 2 2009 red carpet inaugural episode started this week with the performances of singers from Senior 1, 2 and Junior 1 series. From this season the telecast is for four days from Monday to Thursday at 09.00 p.m.

The auditions at Coimbatore and Trichy are over. 15 contestants from both the locations were selected after 3 rounds of auditions. Chennai auditions will take place on 4th, 5th and 6th of July 2009. You may also sing in booths from 29th June to 3rd July 2009 at various places in Chennai. Children in the age group of 6 - 14 i.e children born between 01.06.1995 to 01.06 2003 are eligible for this contest. The prize money is Rs 25 lacs.

Standard is likely to be very good this time. Keep watching Star Vijay every Monday to Thursday at 09.00 p.m.

Coimbatore audition is being telecast this week. Could not watch fully on Monday and Tuesday as I was watching Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 in Zee tamil. Saw few minutes in between. In case some of you have watched kindly give the details.

Three rounds of Coimbatore auditon is over and they have selected 21 contestants from Coimbatore. Satyanarayana from Little Masters, Jaya TV is one of the selected contestants. Next week would be Trichy auditions.

Chennai auditions is happending today in chennai.

Last three days, Trichy initial audition is being telecast. Yesterday, 6 children were selected and the balance would be selected today. Quality is very average. Let us see today.

13 - 16 July 2009

The first two rounds of chennai audition was telecast. we saw 3 familiar face from the last season - Bala sarang, roshan and Manasvini. We also saw some good singers from Little Masters - Jaya TV - Srinidhi, Oviya, Sowmya and Monissha. I am sure all of them would have improved tremendously and looking forward to see them in top 20.

Next week 3 round of chennai audition where they are going to select top 15 from chennai.

20 – 23 July 2009

Final stage audition of Chennai was telecast during the week. Some of the very good singers are Srinidhi, Alka Ajit, Sasin Prabhu, Srinisha, Sowmya, Surya, Priyadarshini, Monissha, Manasvini, Oviya, Yazini. There were two excellent performance this week :

Alka Ajit sang Putham pudhu kalaai one of the best compositions of Mastero Ilayaraja. Her expressions were too good. She sang well and she will definitely be in top 10.

Monissha sang Thooduhu varuma and Rasave unnai enni. She showed her versatility and will definitely be in top 10.

At the end of the week they have selected 57 contestants from Chennai even though they were announcing they would select only 15 from Chennai. At the end of this round there are in all 97 contestants ( 57 from Chennai, 21 from Coimbatore and 19 from Trichy). Roshan and Bala Sarang have directly moved into studio - direct entry to top 30.

Inter zonal auditions was telecast. Selected children from Trichy (19) and Coimbatore (20) were telecast this week. Out of the 40 contestants, 20 were spot selected, 10 were rejected and the remaining 10 were put on wait list. From the wait listed contestants, 5 were selected. In all they had selected 25 from Trichy and Coimbator auditions. Sathya narayana tried Pattum Naane Bhavamum Naane from thiruvilaiyadal. It was an average performance. He has earlier participated in Little Masters (Jaya TV) and Zee Tamil. With the experience we expect better performance from him.

Next week we will get to see top 57 contestants from Chennai. At the end of this week they showed Monissha singing Machane Pathingala from Annakkili. Eagerly waiting to watch the performance.
