I dont think that soaps cause violence.
They choose topics that need to be put across to the viewers about what is happening in todays society, wat is out there. They raise issues so that we are aware of whats going on.

Like Eastenders - that soap has covered stories like, racism, domestic violence, bi polar disorder. And many other topics.

yeah ! But do all viewers take only the good points out of those shows?

I have heard and read a lot about television really playing a major role in the violence of today's world. So do you agree to it or do you feel its kinda overrated?

Is television the leading cause of violence in today's society afterall?

haan bhai, violent person ko chhod ker pretty much everything else is a leading cause of violence - maa ki maar, baap key taaney, bhai ki bullying, behen ka pyaar, mehbooba ka dhoka..........sab inn kee hee galati hai. Bechara banda karey bhi toh kya karey. Uss becharey ki toh koi galati hee naheen.

arey arey,

ab ye kahaan ka gussa yahaan nikal rahe ho gauri ji?LOL

Us violent person ke liye main bas thode excuses ikatthe karne ki koshish kar raha hoonLOLLOL

No, I don't think the TV is causing violence. it is the people blaming the TV for their own twisted violent intentions. Thanks.
