Highlights : Gehna confesses to Sumitra abt Suguna
Maasa takes a drastic decision to solve Suguna's problem
Suguna rebels against Maasa
Sumitra sits crying in the kitchen wondering what will happen to Suguna. Gehna tries to console her that Pratap's parents will accept Suguna. Sumitra wonders how no one in the family realised that Suguna was meeting Pratap secretly. Gehna feels guilty. She slowly confesses to Sumitra that she knew about Suguna meeting Pratap. Sumitra gets super mad when she hears this and demands to know why Gehna didn't tell her. Gehna says that she was too scared and had in fact tried to warn Sumitra to hurry up and finish Suguna's gauna. Sumitra says that such justification does not help and they could have prevented this horrbile thing from happening had Gehna come to her earlier.
Anandi comes to inform Sumitra that Daadisa had returned. Sumitra sends Anandi to Phooli's house. In the living room Maasa and her sons sit dejectedly. Badi maasi asks her what happened. Sumitra gets some water for everyone. Maasa tells her to mix some poison in it and give her and also to tell Suguna to kill herself. Her doing had brought about certain doom to the family name and their respect from the villagers. She then reveals to everyone that Pratap's parents had refused to accept Suguna.
Maasa laments about Suguna's mistake and cries that all her hard-earned respect was gone. Basanth too thinks that if Pratap's parents had agreed, they would have to face some scorn from society and people would eventually forget about it, Now there was no way out. Sumitra drops the water glasses. Maasa sees this and sends Basanth to fetch the doctor. She tells the rest of them that abortion was the only way out. Everyone turns around to see that Suguna has listened to their whole conversation.
Suguna runs to her room and looks for a knife. She keeps remembering all of Maasa's words and is about to slit her wrist. Badi maasi comes there and stops her. Suguna tells her that because of her, the family was facing difficulties. With her gone, everything would be allright. She then tells Maasi that she wants to keep Pratap's baby since that was the only thing from Pratap that she had left. She would rather die than kill the baby.....
Precap : Maasa tells badi maasi that her mind is made up about abortion. Maasi tells her that there is another way out...they should get Suguna remarried...
