                                   my life for a leaf

adult but still i take pleasure in nature
still pause and stoop to smell a rose in bloom
stood under a tree which had its branches spread wide
the branches and the leaves on it blotted the sun and sky
standing under it basking in the cool shade
i saw a single leaf dry from age floating from the top
hit a branch but not getting snagged it floated to the ground
and fell a few feet from me
stood there staring at it musing that leaf or my life will one
day hit the ground and lay in the bosom of mother earth.
smiling yet feeling profound i moved away but hearing a noise
turned just in time to see a crow pick up the leaf and carry it up ito the branches
curious i walked back under the tree and saw the crow was using the leaf to line its nest
well i stood staring in wonder for just a few seconds earlier i had compare my life to the leaf
but now a sense of shame filled me for even the dead and ried leaf wa being used by a crow
for it nest which would soon be he home for its newborn
shaking my head i realised that when i die i would be of no use
and at that moment i wanted to exchange my life for the leaf.

Satish, a poignant poem.

But your life does have a purpose. You help to keep us entertained and you are a good actor. That people hate your role is itself testimony to the fact that you have gotten under the skin of the character and are doing it full justice πŸ˜ƒ

I have many a times had such moments of self-doubt. We are conditioned into thinking that our life must have a grand purpose, that we must be of use to society. But that's an elite view. Our purpose in life could be as mundane as providing the base for a nest-egg, just like the drief leaf. Look deep within you and you will find that a small, unthinking gesture you made somewhere some day, even a word you uttered, may have had a huge impact on someone's life.

hi bon,
well my musings are just ramblings.i write or attempt to write just cos words come into my mind.sometimes they are profound in thought but when put to paper they sound silly.but what the hell we are here for some time so let us ramble as long as it is straight from the heart.but my writings don't have anything to do with my acting and far removed from that.that is just work well this is me and the real me.

to all you ladies,

> A married couple in their early 60s was
> celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little
> restaurant.
>
> Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared
> on their table.
>
> She said, 'For being such an exemplary married
> couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will
> grant you each a wish.
>
> The wife answered, 'Oh, I want to travel
> around the world with my darling husband.'
>
> The fairy waved her magic wand and - poof! -
> two tickets for the Queen Mary II appeared in her hands.
>
> The husband thought for a moment: 'Well, this
> is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come
> again.
>
> I'm sorry my love, but my wish is to have a
> wife 30 years younger than me.'
>
> The wife, and the fairy, were deeply
> disappointed, but a wish is a wish.
>
> So the fairy waved her magic wand and
> poof!..the husband became 92 years old.
>

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer:

Princess Diana's death.

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess
with an Egyptian boyfriend
crashes in a French tunnel,
driving a German car
with a Dutch engine,
driven by a Belgian who was drunk
on Scottish whisky,
followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,
on Japanese motorcycles;
treated by an American doctor,
using Brazilian medicines.
This is sent to you by an Indian,
using Bill Gates's technology,
and you're probably reading this on your computer,
that use Taiwanese chips,
and a Korean monitor,
assembled by Bangladeshi workers
in a Singapore plant.
transported by Pakistan lorry-drivers,
hijacked by Indonesians,
unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,
and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friend, is Globalization

GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:

1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats..
2) When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the
second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap.

GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.
2) Wrinkles don't hurt.
3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts
4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground..
5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.

GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD

1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional..
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there.
4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking
chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers
to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.

THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE:

1) You believe in Santa Claus.
2) You don't believe in Santa Claus.
3) You are Santa Claus.
4) You look like Santa Claus.

SUCCESS:

At age 4 success is . . . . not piddling in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . . having friends.
At age 17 success is . . having a driver's license..
At age 35 success is . . . .having money.
At age 50 success is . . . having money.
At age 70 success is . .. . having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is . . . having friends.
At age 80 success is . . .. not piddling in your pants.

Pass this on to someone who could use a laugh.

Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;
BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.
