Depends which region based food u're cooking.
Eg, Indian food hardly needs tobasco sauce..
Thai food hardly needs oregano...
Salt is an universal seasoning;Its indispensible.
The above mentioned list doesn't include Basil ,one of the most important seasonings

Thank you for that useful tip but you see......not much of the dishes need Basil.....moreover, many people dislikes basil because of its strong stench.

Depends on the food that I am eating. I do however do not like Tabasco or any hot sauce with vinegar in it.
