She was walking on the weary street all alone...

The whole world around her seemed a blur, she could barely see through her tears...

She couldnt get that horrifyign image away from her mind

...The little girl crying out for her mother, the old man staring blankly into space...

The girl's crying seemed to echo in her mind

The pain in the girl's eyes was haunting . So much pain. Such a little girl.

Equally disheartening was the old man's blank stare that reflected his hopelessness.

The day turned to night, and night turned to dawn. She decided to help.

The first rays of the sun brought a hint of golden hope.

She retraced her path and took small steps to wear she had witnessed the scene.

She clenched her fist, closed her eyes and her midn raced back to the days when she was much younger clinging to her father's arm and walking by the side of the road when she saw a donkey being hit by a car!
