There are two folds to this topic

A) Pleasure gained on someone else's misfortune:

Example -
1. Mr. X  somehow manages to cut through the queue, upon reaching the counter discovers, his wallet has been pickedShockedLOL. Everyone who were waiting in the queue have a good laughWinkLOL and informs security gaurd of Mr. X's misconduct. Next time he gotta inform the gaurd and start at the end of queue.Tongue
2. Mrs. B cuts lanes dangerously and manges to be the first on the intersection to turn left, ignoring honks, where other folks are waiting since 30 minutes during peak hours.  Once light is green, unfortunately  Mrs B mets with an wreck. Serves her right, aye?!!Wink

Aboves cases people who have a good LOL on Mr. X and Mrs B are morally Evil? Mistake was done but there can be a reason for it...not such a big price to pay.... what say.

B) Pleasure attained inflicting pain.

This is simply -  no fault of the Mr. Y but Mr. Z enjoys to inflicting pain to Mr. Y verbal/physical or whatever... bass Mr. Z enjoys to press it hard on Mr. Y. Majja masti bhi koi chiizz hoti hai aakhir kaar... Remember being a bully?

Mr. Z is evil morally or a saddist or both or rapist mentality, throw him out of civilized society... OR he is fine..whatever makes him happy Mr. Y should step up...his weakness is his problem...mental problem or any other escapism.... reasoning for him?

What really is the true nature of evil, is it always about causing pain, or is it more about the abuse of power. What is pain, is it defined by sufferer or inflicter? What is pleasure, can one truly get pleasure from pain? There are way too many folds to this topic really.

I wouldn't call it being morally evil LOLServes them right but its human nature to Lol on other's misfortune, because we know of that was us, people would not hesitate to LOL on us.

U bet , not morally evil but immoral?Wink'LOL...since people won't leave a chance on us why not be like them, well even people wouldn't lol us, for such people, I would do soemthing to make them realize on what is right and wrong.

Z is just a big fat bully - nothing to do with throwing him out of society - just an evil git who likes to inflict pain on others - yes saddist or i guess u can say rapist mentality then - power etc - not mr y's fault - we are all different.

Problem is Mr. Z has some or the other reasoning that few can relate and don't find a problem...then comes politics conflicts that people don't corner them the way they should be... anyways would giveing 20 slaps work? or hanging is an option if not considered inhumaneWinkLOL

Ages ago - as in years - similar thing came up in my studies. I am sure you might have heard of it seeing as it was a bit of American research (my whole psychology textbook was american) but see

The Prison Study ^^^

and Milgram's shock experiment - Similar sadistic findings etc

Shocking experiements - yes unethical but revealed sadistc nature of human beings even though it was to do with conformity and Obedience to authority - i miss psychologyEmbarrassed

Aim of Milgram:   To find out whether ordinary Americans would obey to an unjust order from a member of authority to inflict pain on another person. Milgram wanted to discover what factors in a situation led to people to obey. V. Interesting - Link to show what they did...Embarrassed

TFS -  havn't read and evaluated the context... but thanks for response.

It sure might sound as normal, but it is not moral either..can we do something to avoid some people to go on route of not being moral?
