Loha bhai...jabardast...

question still remains what are those practice or practices that make Indian culture? OK! let me start

1. Believing that there is supreme power above us, that is constantly guiding/watching/helping/ready to punish(if need be). Termed as God / almighty..mentioned supreme power as some might be not nece'ly beleive in GodWink.
    Talking of Indian practices ,
i think we should indeed talk about God (though not sure

2. Respecting elders, no matter what. Yup
3. Bringing or thinking more on humatrian lines while performing normal day to day deeds.Yup
4. Trusting good  human being beyond par.
I'd rather say trusting beyond par ,
or not trusting beyond par !!Big smile

One major foundation of our Indian culture, that stems from Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism etc, is that we see god in nature.  This is different than the way most westerners see nature.  Jab phool, patton, nadiyon key liye itnee shraddha hai mann mein toh insaan key liye kyoon naheen hogi.  Most Indians I know personally still believe in nature being the mother of all living beings.

From where did idol practices/worshipping idols  creep up ?

PS - asked just for information , not as a counter to what you said Smile
