really confused

Someone please tell me that how is varun a different person named Ali.I have not missed a single episode of TB but still couldn't understand. In today's episode uzman met varun for the first time and he addressed him as ali. How could varun help uzman in destroying worldtradecentre, uzman said so in todays episode. Iam really confused , please clarify 

i would certainly have agar aaj ki episode dekhi hoti tab..... 😛 ....
