in hp-5...

it is said that threstals can nly b seen by those who hv seen death...so obviously..since harry saw cedric die in his 4th year ..he cud see them...bt harry evn saw his parents die..i mean he was small...yes..bt still he saw his mum die...so dont u think technically harry shud hv been able 2 see d threstals evn in his 1st,2nd,3rd n 4th years...????????

I think this was discussed awhile ago, but my interpretation on this is that when his parents died, he was too young to comprehend the concept of death, therefore seeing them die was not exactly as experiencing them die as he did with Cedric. I guess you have to really understand the concept of death to be able to see the thestrals.

^ Yeah and also Harry was couldnt even remember his parents death. I think the death scene needs to be stayed in ur mind/memory.
