Profile of a "KASHMIRI" Freedom-fighter(wikipedia)

Reporter- Saeed Shah

Background

Ajmal Amir is 21[16] years old and is from Faridkot in the tehsil of Dipalpur in the Okara district in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[17][18] He is one of the five children of Mohammmad Amir Imran and Noori.[19] He comes from a poor family.[14][20][21][1]

His father makes a living selling dahi puri from a snack cart.[22] [23]. His elder brother Afzal, 25, works as a laborer in Lahore.[23] His elder sister, Rukaiyya Husain, 22, is married in the village.[23] A younger sister Suraiyya, 14, and brother Munir, 11, stay in Faridkot with the parents.[23][24]

The city of Faridkot is quite poor with a remote feel, despite being close to a town. Most people have little education and live in poverty. On the side of a building, just outside Faridkot, graffiti in large lettering says, in Urdu, "Go for jihad. Go for jihad. Markaz Dawat ul-Irshad". 'Markaz Dawat ul-Irshad' is the parent organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba.[18]

[edit] Early life

He went to school till age 13 and left in 2000. He then briefly joined his brother in Lahore, who worked as a labourer, and then returned to Faridkot. [25][26]

He left home after a fight with his father in 2005.[23]

He then became involved in petty crime with his friend Muzaffar Lal Khan, soon moving on to armed robbery.[25]. On Dec 21, 2007, Bakr-Eid day, they were in Rawalpindi trying to buy weapons when they encountered members of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah, the political wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, distributing pamphlets. After a brief chat, they decide to sign up for training with the LeT, ending up at their base camp, Markaz Taiba.

Initial reports offered a conflicting view of Ajmal Amir as fluent in English, and from a middle class background.[27] However, an interrogator and Mumbai deputy police commissioner stated that he spoke rough Hindi and barely any English.[28]

Some sources said his father asked him to join the militant group, Lashkar-e-Taiba so that he could use the money they gave him to run the family[29][30].

[edit] Training

Ajmal Amir is alleged to be among a group of 24 men[31] who received training in marine warfare at a remote camp in mountainous Muzaffarabad in Pakistani-controlled Azad Kashmir. Part of the training is reported to have taken place on the Mangla Dam reservoir.[32]

Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, a senior commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, reportedly offered to pay his family Rs.150,000 for his participation in the attacks.[33] Another report said the 21-year old man was recruited from his Punjab, Pakistan home in part based on a pledge by recruiters to pay USD $1,250 US (Rs. 62,412.50) to his family when he became a martyr.[34]. Other sources put the reward to USD $4,000[35].

[edit] Stages of training

This batch of 25 went through the following stages of training:

Psychological: Indoctrination and brainwashing via continuous exposure to Islamist propaganda, including compiled footage of alleged Indian "atrocities" in Jammu & Kashmir, and imagery of the alleged "sufferings" of Muslims in India, Chechnya, Palestine and across the globe. Spiritual: Rote recitation of the Koran and repeated lectures about the "spiritual merits" of jihad, including "martyrdom" via suicide bombing. Basic Combat: Lashkar's basic combat and terror methodology course, the Daura Aam. Advanced Training: Selected to undergo advanced specialised training at a camp near Mansehra, a course the organisation calls the Daura Khaas[36]. This includes advanced weapons and explosives training supervised by retired personnel of the Pakistan Army[citation needed], along with survival training and further Indoctrination.
  • Finally, an even smaller group selected for specialised marine commando and navigation training given to the fidayeen unit selected to target Mumbai. At first, Ajmal Amir used to vomit.[citation needed] They were taught how to survive at sea, on ground, and how to control thirst and hunger.

His definition of Jihad "Come, kill and die after a killing spree. By this one will become famous and will also make Allah proud,"

What a transition from a petty thief to a armed robber to a "FREEDOM FIGHTER"? No wonder it shows how principled are those so-called "FREEDOM FIGHTERS" are, from what background they are and what kind of ideologies they embrace. 4th standard pass "CHOR BANNEY CHALA RAKHWALA" - what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as democracy is concerned, looks like you skipped that chapter in school.

Democracy means a government which has been elected by the people, for the people and of the people. That means the govt represents majority of the people and when it fails to deliver, the people have the right to vote them out through the electorate system. All countries have their fair share of problems whether it's a democracy or non democracy but the difference is that is a democratic country, both the victims and the oppressors have a right to be heard. In non democratic states, minorities and the oppressed are never given a chance to defend themselves.

Godhra incident followed after Hindus were initially targeted by a number of muslim militants. I am not defending what happened in Godhra, but to set the record straight, it was in response to the atrocities done by the muslim militants.

Democracy means freedom of thought, freedom of speech and freedom of press. You have probably not seen those in your life so u won't know what a democracy means!

The fact that ur able to write all ur anti India statements on this forum goes to show how tolerant we are to other's POV. THIS IS DEMOCRACY! I know a pakistan forum where anyone who is not pro pakistan is banned from the forum!

So, please learn the meaning of democracy before u start pointing fingers at us!

Where is freedom in India ?

Where is it ?

Instead to learn me meaning of "Democracy" its you indian who deserve to learn it and then do that.

How much India have democracy is what we are very much aware by that.

You are so busy about "muslim militants" What about HINDU militants ? ? ? ? ?

Hun, What about Hindu militants like BJP, Shiv Senha, etc .....

Come on, STOP to call India as a democracy country. We know how much and what kind of democracy

you have in India!

7. Setting the Record Straight - Talat Hussain Exposes Biased Indian Media Propaganda

In the wake of terrorist attacks on Mumbai on November 27, 2008: Talat Hussain, Pakistan's most credible investigative journalist & talkshow anchor, did this Special Edition of 'Live with Talat' show to give a response to the irresponsible & immaturely biased reporting in India media which, as usual, started pointing fingers at Pakistan without any verifiable evidence or any such indication. There are as many conflicting reports & evidence as the number of Indian channels.

Pakistanis have become used to these Indian propaganda tactics but this time, Talat makes it a point to set the record straight and point out with evidence just how biased, partisan, hypocritical & ridiculously hollow, Indian media is - A masterpiece in yellow-journalism.
