Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Show Off her Singing Talent

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to be singing a track for Vishal and Shekhar. Producer duo Vishal and Shekhar are also the guys that got Aishwarya's husband Abhishek Bachchan to rap on a track for the film, 'Bluffmaster.' The duo has also gotten Aishwarya's father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan to record a rap for his upcoming film, 'Aladdin.'

However, it turns out Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wasn't too keen on the idea at first. In fact, it took a whole lot of convincing on the part of Vishal and Shekhar before she agreed. Now if you remember the producers were out on the road with Aishwarya, Amitabh and Abhishek for the Unforgettable World tour last year, so we can bet they all share a good relationship. No doubt that probably helped when trying to convince the beauty to sing.

Vishal and Shekhar say Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will record the song soon, but admit that they're not sure where they're going to use it yet. It might be used either in a film or on a private album. Guess we'll just have to wait and see on that one. They say they don't want to focus on where they're going to use it just yet, because they want to record it before Aish changes her mind!

Abhishek Bachchan to speak at Wharton forum

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan will address the Wharton India Economic Forum on Saturday, speaking as part of a panel exploring the impact of India's booming economy on the Hindi film industry.

The 33-year-old Bachchan, along with filmmaker Rohan Sippy and PVR Cinemas Chairman Ajay Bijli, will be part of a panel on Bollywood's Silver Screen: Pursuit of the Golden Globe at the 13th edition of the Philadelphia event.

Discussion topics will chart the growth of the industry, encompass the retailing of cinema, exploring the changing landscape in film financing and how prolific cinema-making has given way to a quality that is appreciated by a much broader audience, the Forum said in a statement on its website.

Bachchan's father Amitabh blogged about Abhishek's Wharton engagement, describing it as a sign of the expanding reach of Indian cinema.

"Did any of us ever dream that a day would come when this would fructify, 60-70 years ago. No we did not. But this is the value that our cinema now enjoys," the elder Bachchan said on his blog (http://bigb.bigadda.com).
