Has lost his wife & 3 kids, his brother and bhabhi and their 3 kids in a tragic bus accident 15 yrs ago. Only his brother’s daughter had survived whom he had raised as his own daughter. He has also inculcated the same family values in her in which he believes. He wants to fulfill his responsibility of getting her married and settle her in a good family who also believes in the same family values as he does.

Prem Kapoor is a happy go lucky judge. He doesn't carry the seriousness of a judge. He hails from a family of judges and to carry on the family tradition his father bribed the system to get him a judge's position. Neither he is capable nor deserving to be judge. He has a soft corner towards females particularly Chanda Rani. He has peculiar habit of forgetting everything whenever he performs a particular action. He is confused and can even give the verdict of "hang till death" to someone committing as small crime as theft.
