I know! Well, a rotational #1 spot wouldn't reflect someone's popularity because someone who has the most fans might lose the spot to someone who has less simply because of that rule. I think that they should just scrap the whole ranking thing altogether. I mean, is there a "ranking" anywhere else?
When it comes down to it, the India Forums moderators want more and more people visiting their website and rankings are a way to attract people, a way to make them comment on profiles, like stuff, etc. And then they make money off of advertising b/c of the high traffic.
...So basically, they're making money off of fans who have nothing else to do but increase rankings of their favorite actors by staying on IF 24/7. :(

Yup, you're right Aishu! FB is more accurate in terms of popularity because no one creates other IDs just to be a celeb's fan...maybe some do, but it's not a big deal like it is on IF. It's pretty much pointless to maintain MIDs on fb because they don't serve a purpose. But in my opinion, IF is more user friendly because everyone knows everyone, so I wish the celeb ranking was accurate too.
I think there should be a rule like one different celeb becomes #1 every week, so that everyone gets a chance, you know?

well, it's not as if the good actors don't have large fanbases. Meghan has over a thousand fans on facebook. And I'm sure Debina has as much too! It's just that a lot of people feel comfortable using fb, and so don't bother creating an IF account.
So this is only a reflection of the actor's INDIA FORUMS popularity, but definitely and absolutely not, the actor's overall popularity.

Yup, you're right, Aishu! So many actors give their 100% to their roles and often don't get recognized just because they don't have large fanbases. The Top 10 celebs are always the same, despite them interchanging. I wish the ranking system could just be done with altogether.

You were great in JSK, Meghan, the show became interesting only after you entered it. I loved your chemistry with Kritika, and it was really a pity that your role was cut so short.
I hope you return to mythological shows sometime soon. Would LOVE to see you as Lord Ganesha in Devon ke Dev Mahadev, when the time comes for it.
