I agree with you! Simran has so many sides to herself. Like Anamika, Simran is also beautiful and tempting. And aside from being beautiful and tempting, she is also sweet, cute, mischievous, funny, caring. So many things! I hope that we will see our multifaceted Simran Kaur back very soon! Big smile

@skanthan Simi probably didn't want 2 b stereotyped as an actor capable of fitting into just one category-cute & sweet & that's why probably agreed 2 do Anamika.Witches have the reputation of being beautiful & tempting & simi has both those features.Whether it was her best performance or not,is a thing of debate. And as far as cuteness is concerned,i can say with utmost surety that i haven't seen an actress cuter than her.

I have heard that as well. When Simran first started acting in the Anamika serial, she was told that Anamika would be a grey shaded character. But unfortunately, the character got turned negative later on. Though I never considered Anamika truly evil. Basically, the CVs only showed what they thought was good and never listened to the demands of Simran's fans. Once Simran said that she wanted someone to woo Anamika. But that never happened. While Simran, Roshni, Diya and Anamika all are very different from each other in many aspects, they all seemed to have some common traits as well such as that beautiful smile! I noticed that same smile on all three of Simran's most recent roles! I do not know if it's true or not. But, Simran seemed to put some of her own personality traits into all of the roles she played so far. Actually, I always used to refer to Roshni, Diya and Anamika as the three princesses because they were portrayed by our princess Simran Kaur. While any beautiful actress can play the role of a bratty girl, a sanskari bahu or a spooky churail or have a character name like Roshni, Diya or Anamika, I don't think that any other actress would be able to play the roles of Roshni Gujral-Saxena, Diya Pratap Singh and Anamika Malhotra as beautifully as Simran.

@skanthan Pleasurez all mine.O i see,u saw her in Anamika first right,so ur love 4 the character is understandable. It was her cuteness as Roshni in LNMDJ that made so many people wonder as 2 how a girl can look this cute. That's my fav role till date. She herself confessed once that playing Anamika was a real challenge bcoz it was very unlike her nature in real life.U know, witchy & wicked, that was not her thing at all.Still if she is loved 4 that role then it's really commendable.Miss u simi big time & come back as soon as any script impresses u.

@VINU143: And you are one of the rare people who respected my choice! Embarrassed Thank you so much! Hug While I particularly like and enjoyed Simran's role as Anamika, I can't really say that I did not like her other roles. Smile After watching Simran as Anamika, I also watched her in Love Ne Milla Di Jodi as Roshni and liked that character as well. Big smile Then I saw some of her scenes in Na Aana Iss Desh Laado as Diya. Smile Actually, when I first saw Simran as Roshni in Love Ne Milla Di Jodi, I almost could not believe that was the same Simran who played the role of Anamika in Anamika. Shocked This is because I watched her first in Anamika and then in her other shows! LOL

Even I hope that Simran comes again soon and that her come back on TV will be a memorable one! Part of me still is wishing for Anamika Season 2. But since that is not likely, my next choice is to see Simran in a comic role like Roshni or in a superhero role like Junior G from the good old days of Indian television. Smile

@VINU143: In some ways, I agree with some things you are saying. Yes, we are entitled to have an opinion. But, there are certain opinions which are best kept to one's self such as opinions about a celebrity's or anyone's personal life or decisions. As for the topic of Simran getting married, that was her choice and I can see from picture's of her after marriage that she is quite happy and confident in that. We have no right to judge her for it. When I heard that Simran got married, I was happy for her and wish her a long happy married life. And we as her fans have no right to judge her by saying that she is not serious about her acting career. As for this theory of an actress' desirability post marriage, I do not agree with that as I have seen that many female celebrities continue their careers even after marriage. I have seen that many of Simran's think that she should just keep entertaining us. They forget that Simran has a life and other priorities which need to met aside from acting. I too have seen in Simran's interviews that she said she is a lazy person and she like to go slow as she wants to get into right project/pick up the right script. Once before, I said that I wished that Simran was more flexible with her roles after hearing her say that she does not want to repeat any of her roles. But as time passed, I came to understand that if I admire Simran or am her fan, then I should accept her as she is. And as a fan of Simran, I have accepted her as she is as I know now that her reason for not wanting to repeat her roles is because she wants to try something new and different. In Anamika, her every alternate dialogue was 'Jeet hamaare huee, SIRF HAMAARE!', which unfortunately became like a mantra for her. I am like Simran in that I also like to see or try something new too instead of the same old thing everyday.

@jenny156 I thoroughly read ur comment & thas Y said that laado belonged 2 some other actors not simi.Celebs r what they r today bcoz of their fans & v r entitled 2 have an opinion about their personal decisions too.And i still stick 2 my theory that marriage affects an actresses desirability.Take 4 instance Kareena is no longer the reigning queen of bolly post marriage. Its between Dips & Piggy chops & neither of them would b ready 2 marry now however good the alliance is.And theres nothing wrong in debating coz thats the best way the concerned person can choose whom 2 agree with.

Yes absolutely I agree with u Jen. We shouldn't judge her decisions maybe she's just happy with the shows she's done and isn't ready to take up more roles right now. actually the thing is that fans are getting too pushy nowadays bcz of the vast reach of social media so they don't respect the fact that actresses or even actors for that matter have other priorities too. They feel that a celeb should just keep entertaining without considering the fact that they have their own choices of the roles they want to do.

@VINU143 - I think u did not read my comment well enough, I said Laado is remembered for Sim not the other way round Confused .. We are still no one to judge if she isn't serious about her acting career. Some people are slow & steady as they want to get into the right project. Simran is the same. She herself said how she is in her interviews so if this is how she is, can't we accept her the way she is? If we admire her we need to also accept her this way. This is why she became inactive on twitter bcos fans started getting overbearing. Everyone has their own time!! We can't judge that she will fail in her comeback when she still didn't make a comeback Confused. Directors will not see if she is married or not, they will see if she fits the bill for the role. You are free to disagree here, but pls don't make such personal comments that can urge us to make a debate ground here!! P.S. Her rank is surely gonna fly high next week due to this neverending debate Tongue

@jenny156@princeess_farh I agree with both of u partially. What simi does in her personal life is totally her call & v must respect that. But i still feel she was not serious about her acting career. She did just three shows & thats way too little.Tempo is very imp in life.Stagnant period can cost one dear & Im telling from experience. Most actresses fail 2 click in their comeback & later confess that marrying early was the mistake they commited. And u r right in case of Simar.Even though Dipika was the lead in SSK,it was Avika Gor who got all the footage. And laado is not remembered 4 simi jen.Roshni & Anamika were her most popular roles. And u guys can dislike my comments if u disagree.Im a sport.

@VINU143 - We have no right to say why she should or shouldn't hav got married, it is her personal life & fans should stick to admiring their favorites rather than take a dig into their personal lives or career!! Regarding Anita, well yes she is doing negative but her role is as important as the lead. And not to forget she also did Yeh Hai Aashiqui in an episodic. Reena Kapoor became popular in her show only after marriage.. she did not have readymade fans before marriage. So was Shweta Tiwari, Smriti Irani & many more!! And regarding Sim's role not being so prominent, I agree with Farhana that sometimes supporting roles are more accepted than leads.. Laado is remembered the most bcos of Sim even though she was only a parallel lead.. Yes she isn't so popular as the actresses u named but we can't deny that she has been getting a lot of offers, an unknown face wouldn't get so many offers. Shivani Surve was not even popular after Anamika, but after 3 yrs she is also back. But TV has loads of regressive content, we can't blame Sim for not taking up any projects yet !!

VINU143 I don't think it's very right to judge when she should or shouldn't get married. that's her personal life and she seems very satisfied in her space. We have to remember as fans that celebrities have a life apart from the onscreen. We can't make decisions about their career and why they lose fans after marriage bcz that's ridiculous, even when they are unmarried they most certainly are not "available" for their fans. unless we looking at attention seeking swyamvars ROFL

jen I totally agree with u many actresses are still making it big in their careers after marriage. In fact even nigaar khan has made a comeback which I totally didn't expect which shows that they are still being pursued by directors. coming back to sim I don't really mind even if she isn't a lead as long as she has a strong supporting role bcz sometimes the leads get overbearing like our ever famous simar ROFL

@jenny156 U r right jen there r actresses who get 2 play leads even post marriage. But they might b having a very large fan following like Sanaya or Drashti. So directors wont hesitate 2 cast them. But thats not the case with simi.I dont think she is as popular & there r only a sizeable amount of fans like us constantly following her.I dont know what was the rush in getting married. And as far as Anita is concerned she is not back as Lead of the show. She is playing the negative character.

I agree with what was stated below. I hope that soon, we will see Simran Kaur in a very prominent lead role. I have had people tell me that now Simran is married, she will not act again and her husband will not let her. But I don't believe that and think that it is bunch of baloney. There are many actresses who continued acting after marriage and Simran is one such actress who will continue her acting career! Big smile

@VINU143 - I don't think so as there are many actresses who are married but acting as leads, for example Reena Kapoor who acted in Woh Rehne Waali started the show after marriage & the show lasted for 6 yrs where she acted for 3 generations opposite 5 male leads.. Kratika Sengar continues to play lead, Sana Sheikh, Drashti Dhami, there are so many!! Even the actress in ur dp Anita is married.. So I don't think so directors will be reluctant to cast her!! Simran is waiting for the right project & she may not be getting any of her choice, hence she isn't back yet.. She is pretty & talented enough to make a comeback!!

@skanthan I meant directors r reluctant 2 cast married actresses in "lead roles" coz marriage affects an actresses'es desirability.Fans no longer view them as potential lady love or wife & that may affect the show's TRPS
