About Tahir Hussain

Tahir Hussain is a producer, director and writer of Bollywood movies. He is the father of famous Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Faisal Khan. He is also the father of Farhat Khan and Nikhat Khan. Tahir directed his son, Aamir, for the first time in his directorial debut Tum Mere Ho in 1990. Tahir's wife is Zeenat Hussain, who is sometimes referred to as Zeena Hussain.

Although born in India, Tahir Hussain's roots are connected to the ethnic Pashtuns of Afghanistan. He is a descendant of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
