Vicky’s mother (Beeji) is a 55 years old woman who has a very pleasant demeanor and is educated until the 10th standard. She fell in love with Bauji after his feat of driving away the goras (British) from the country all alone. Bauji (her husband) being a very rigid man, she managed to change him to a certain extend after which he would not budge. She does not appreciate the ways Bauji overreacts when annoyed and such small tiffs have led to many differences between them, and they have stopped talking to each other. She believes that the whole family is scared of him and hence never goes against him, whereas he thinks it is out of his disciplined control.
