Mr. Upasani is the cashier in Baburao Apte Sahakari Bank. A man in his mid 40's, typical middle class common man's image. He is known to be a pathetic cashier as the tally towards the end of the day is always wrong by 50 –100 Rs. He always borrows money from fellow colleagues and doesn't tend to return it. He also has a very peculiar habit of licking finger before starting any sort of work. This can create hilarious situations when it comes to domestic work…like helping wife counting chapattis or going to the sports section of the newspapers etc
