Lal is a popular Malayalam film actor, producer and director. he met Siddique and teamed up as Lal-Siddique. They made 4 more hit films in a row -In Harihar Nagar, Godfather, Vietnam Colony and Kabooliwala. He made his debut as an independent director with the Mammootty-starrer Oru Maravathoor Kanavu in 1998.
