Deepika Padukone is taking over the world with not only her powerful performances but also her red carpet appearances.

Thinking about her best character, Piku definitely tops the list. As Piku completes 2 years, a stream of nostalgia follows as Piku was a character that won audiences' hearts with her realistic portrayal.

Here are 5 reasons that prove that Piku was the most relatable character ever:

1. Independent working woman: Deepika owned the role of an independent working woman, her effortless portrayal of the same reflected the working class of women in India.

2. Universal daughter: Her fights with her father and he irritation and frustration depicted by Deepika as Piku was something every daughter would relate to.

3. Complicated love life: Deepika's complicated love story with Rana played by Irrfan portrayed with such ease, that completely resonated with most of the audience. The chemistry between Deepika and Rana is realistic and hence engages the audience.

4. Responsible: Times have changed, it's not only the sons that are responsible for their parents, daughters are taking care of their parents too. The way Deepika deals with her father's antics is something every daughter relates to.

5. De-glam avatar: Her de-glam looks, kurtis-palazzos made for the perfect office look, that every working woman would associate with. It became a style statement instantly. Deepika cited a perfect example of India's daughter in today's age.
