Today, we celebrate the birthday of a renowned producer-director and screenwriter, Prakash Jha!

Jha was brought up at his family's farm in Bihar and began his education at a school in Jharkand followed by university in Delhi. After making it through one year of a BSc (Hons) in Physics, he decided to move to Mumbai and joined the J.J School of Arts to become a painter. During that time, he got the chance to view the shooting of the movie Dharma (1973) and was instantly hooked to film-making! Followed by that, he joined the Film and Television Institute Of India in Pune in 1973.
