celebrate the birthday of the one and only Twinkle Jatin Khanna, a talented
actress and now a budding interior designer.
on 29th December, 1974, Khanna is the eldest daughter of yesteryear
actors Dimple Kapadia and the late Rajesh Khanna. Her sister is Rinke
Khanna who is also an actress. Khanna is now married to the successful
actor Akshay Kumar and the couple have two children; a son, Aarav Bhatia
(born 2002), and a daughter, Nitara Khanna Bhatia (born 2012).
Khanna began her Bollywood career in 1995 opposite Bobby Deol - who was debuting as well - with the film Barsaat.
The movie performed well at the box office and gave her the Filmfare
award for Best Debut. This lead to her signing up with several more
successful films and winning the hearts of the audience and critics
alike including Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Baadshah, Mela, International Khiladi, Joru Ka Ghulam and Jodi No. 1.
her career was progressing at a good pace, Khanna decided to take a
sabbatical from acting after her marriage to Akshay Kumar
in 2011, only
to make a very small special appearance
during the end credits of Tees Maar Khan
. She now runs a successful interior designing shop called The White Window
