January 21st marks the birthday of actress and model Kim Sharma. She celebrates her 33rd birthday, welcoming yet another new year in her life.

Kim entered the world of entertainment with several modeling contracts and she even forsake her education past grade 12 for the sake of her modelling career. She was seen in some big advertisements for companies like Sunsilk, Pepsi, Tata Safari, Ponds, Fair n Lovely, Clean-n-Clear and liril. With more popularity, she ended up becoming the brand ambassador of Olay in India. This was a turning point in her career as she had caught the attention of Bollywood's ace producer Yash Chopra. He cast her in his project Mohabbatein, which ended up becoming a blockbuster phenomenon and gave us all a name to put with the beautiful face! The film also featured newbies Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty and Preeti Jhangiani along with super stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. 

After her debut film turning out to be a super hit, Kim starred in numerous films like Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai, Kehtaa Hai Dil Baar Baar, Fida, Tom Dick and Harry, Zindaggi Rocks, Nehle Pe Dehla and in a guest appearance in Heyy Babyy. Despite the numerous films, her Bollywood career has been very lackluster since her debut. Most of these films were either  average or a box-office failure. She was later seen in a few South Indian films.

Kim has been in the media quite often due to her personal life; either for her link-up and break-up with Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh or with Spanish Singer Carlos Marin. However, in August 2010, she took herself of the dating scene when she married Kenyan Business man Ali Punjani in a small ceremony in Kenya with only their close friends and relatives.
