December 20^th marks the 42^nd birthday of actor, producer and director Sohail Khan. Khan first made his debut in Bollywood as a director in 1997 with Auzaar starring Salman Khan, Sanjay Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. It wasn't until the beginning of the new millennium that Sohail made his debut in acting with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002), a film he also directed and produced. He started his production journey with the 1998 memorable film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kiya starring Salman Khan and Kajol Devgn. This movie not only proved to be successful at the box office, but also bagged many awards for Sohail including the Filmfare Award for Best Director and Best Film.

Currently on the cards is the much-awaited Sher Khan, which is scheduled to release in 2013. Sohail is donning the director's hat after almost 10 years for this venture.

 

Sohail Khan has also  been seen the small screen recently as a judge on Sony's Comedy Circus alongside the ever-laughing Archana Puran Singh. The talented Khan is happily married to Seema Sachdev Khan and has two sons, Nirvaan and Aslam.
