The legendary Kapoors and Bollywood go back such a long way, that the true beginning of their stellar success can be traced back to synonymous origins and followed in overlapping growth graphs. If commercial success, fan following, and fair share of critical acclaim are accounted for, cousins Ranbir and Kareena, as current day representatives of the Kapoor khandaan, have well lived up to this reputation of their ancestry in their respective careers.

Being real life cousins has however, robbed their doting audience of ever seeing them make a handsome onscreen pair. Not long ago, Kareena went on record to say that her rival actresses could rejoice her firm stand on never being cast opposite her iconic cousin in a romantic role! Ranbir's sentiments in this regard were no different, as he too made it amply clear how that prospect was a big no-no! He did stray a little to add that working with Bebo would nonetheless be a priority with him, if they were offered a suitable brother-sister characterization.

 

It seems that his wish might just come true, sooner than later! Former actor Rajiv Kapoor - uncle of both - was recently spotted in Bhopal at the music launch of his late father Raj Kapoor's select songs. Wherein, he expressed his desire to work on a future venture which would cast his niece and nephew in acceptable roles of brother and sister.

 

Although a wishful remark made in a sentimental moment, who knows Rajiv doesn't have something more concrete formulating in his head?

 

We do know that if the idea is realized, it is bound to unleash the never failing Kapoor magic along an unexplored tangent - and who among fans wouldn't welcome a chance to witness that!
