Salman's Favorite Inmate

The Big Boss season 5 action spills beyond the 'house-arrested' inmates to rope in the hosts of the show, aka popular Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, into trivial controversies.

How, you ask?! Both, curiously, in connection with a single name - Mahek Chahal.

Mahek is a Norwegian Punjabi model turned Bollywood actress with easily forgettable stints in cinema. Apparently, it all started when she was informed by the latest surprise entry to BB5, Amar Upadhyay, of buzz in the outside world about her link up with Macho Khan. He even insinuated that many thought her very entry to the show was a consequence of a push from Salman, on account of his 'special friendship' with Mahek.

For the record to the uninitiated, Chahal has previously worked in minor roles in Salman Khan's blockbuster Wanted, as well as the Kareena co-starring Mr. And Mrs. Khanna.

If that wasn't enough, Mahek was soon after also confronted by co-inmate Pooja Mishra for having spoken ill about the latter to the other host of the show this season, Sanjay Dutt.

Culmination of the charged events led to Mahek breaking down during the yoga session, only to be confronted by another inmate, Juhi Parmar, who advised her to turn a deaf ear to gossip and be true to herself - an ideal formula with a miserable success rate if the history of this show is anything to go by!

Meanwhile, with link ups tailing him even on small screen now, one can't but wonder how Salman Khan deals with the ceaseless colourful headlines that surround him eternally!
