Karan Johar's upcoming flick is proving to be a hot platform
for industry kids to debut their career as Boman Irani's son, Kayoze, has also
joined the cast!
The budding actor has previously worked as an AD for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu - Dharma Production's upcoming movie starring Imran and Kareena.
Student Of The Year - currently in the middle of shoots - already stars Varun Dhawan (son of Director Dhawan), Alia Bhatt (daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt) and Siddharth Malhotra in leading roles.
However it can't be denied that historically, industry kids have generally failed to make an impact with their debut performances. One then wonders if Johar work his magic with these brand new students on the block? We'll have to wait and see.

I guess people expect star kids to be as good as their parents and have a lot of expectations from them. However, at the end of the day they are NEW comers and so their acting skills are bound to be poor... And because of the immense amount of expectations placed on them because of their parents' career, they probably fail to make the impact they're aiming for...
I'm really looking forward to this movie..Hope its worth the wait! =D
the idea is very interesting and freash..plus the cast looks promising :)
I absolutely hate it how new actors who actually know how to act and have the whole package dont get films and the kids of actors get signed onto new films at the click of their fingers!!
Wonder if the Bhatts will ever cast Alia Bhatt in a movie like Jannat 2 that Prachi Desai walk from because of the explicit content.

He better live up to his dad because boman irani is so freakin good. anwayz there are so many people that work hard to gain a role in movies but they don't end up getting one because they aren't an industry child. Therefore, he should own this film in order to make it seem like he deserves it.
