For fans of the Munnabhai series, it seems that there may still be hope for the third installment...

For fans of the Munnabhai series, it seems that there may still be hope for the third installment, albeit with a few major changes!

The latest buzz is that Aamir Khan is strongly being considered to take over the role of Munnabhai, in Munnabhai Chale Amrika, whilst friend and co-star Sharman Joshi may just replace Arshad Warsi for the role of Circuit.

Despite the promising trailer released all the way back in 2007, the lack of a good script led to the third movie being delayed and later shelved, despite Munnabhai M.B.B.S. and Lage Raho Munnabhai both doing well on the big screen.

However, it seems that Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra (director and producer of the films) were never able to shake the idea. So much so that during the shooting of 3 Idiots, the movie was reconsidered with Aamir and Sharman in mind to spice up third offering. Both actors also seem to be on board but only if a good script is finalised.

We have no doubt that if anyone is worthy of taking up this challenge, it's Mr. Perfectionist himself...but do audiences want another Munnabhai if it doesn't include Sanju Bhai? Let us know!

IF is slowww! News came out a few days ago saying that Aamir & Sharman will NOT play Munnabhai & Circuit. Aamir himself clarified it.

whoeva is being roped in to play Munna Circuit no one cn beat Sanju n Arshad jodi!!! its the worst news i hav got recently !!! :/

aamir and sharman are amazing...i love these guys but still they can't replace sanjay and arshad...i mean sanjay and arshad are perfect for these roles...infact now we refer to sanjay as munnabhai and arshad as circuit more than their real name...we love them so much...so attached to them that can't see anyone else in their place and that also after 2 superhit movies...plz bring sanjay and arshad back...

They should probably do something else with Aamir and Sharman, that would be an amazing movie.

But replacing Sanjay Dutt or Arshad Warsi for either roles is a strict NO-NO. I'm not a great fan of either of them, but come on, have the producers seen them together in the movies? They're freaking awesome. :)

Though Aamir is my favourite actor, I would NOT want to see Sanjay and Arshad replaced. I can't even imagine anyone other than Arshad as Circuit! I hope Aamir has enough sense to say no IF at all he is offered this role...or I will never forgive him.

R u guys kidding me?? Have u seen aamirs older movies from the 90s? he was amazing in a comic movies..i guess coz we all are so used to sanjay and arshad thats why its hard to digest but oh wellz im all up for aamir and sharman ;)..if katrina can do serious roles like rajneeti then aamir cant do a comic movie? Sanju and arshad had an awesome timing no doubt but im sure aamir will do justice to anything he does :)

NEWS FLASH!
This is such an old news! Go and check Bollywood Hungama people before saying anything about Aamir Khan. Here is what he had to say in the BH article when he was asked about being replaced in Munnabhai.

"Really? Is that what people are saying? I am unaware of it," Aamir tells me. Even if Aamir is unacquainted with the rumor, will he step into Sanju Baba's shoes and essay the lovable character of Munnabhai, if the makers offered him the role? "No way! I think there cannot be a better Munnabhai than Sanju. If the makers do approach me with the role in question, I would hand over Sanju's cell phone number to them," he smiles.
