When the rest of B-Town was all partied-out, the Baadshah's bash was just getting started. That's right, the industry is abuzz with highlights from an after-Holi celebration held at Shah Rukh Khan's palacial home, Mannat. Not only was the timing atypical for having taken place after the festival had ended, it was also celebrated in a unique way - there was absolutely no color!
The event was planned by wife Gauri to celebrate Shahrukh's homecoming; one may recall that he had been out of town for an extended duration for the filming of Don 2. She extended personal invitations to many of his close friends so that they could reunite while enjoying the cricket match between India and the West Indies which also took place on the same day.
Why color-free, you ask? For the most obvious of reasons, of course: who would want to clean up the mess after a long night of entertaining guests? This isn't to say that the event was totally devoid of all the frills associated with festival, though, as typical Holi treats like bhaang and jalebis were served to all whom attended.
Rumor has it that the guest list was a long and illustrious one. It included the likes of Karan Johar, Hrithik and Sussane Roshan, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Aditya Chopra, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Kaajal Anand, Rimi Jain, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar, Ritesh Sidwani, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesi.
Seems like this color-free bash turned out to be quite colorful after all, and if the guest list proves to be accurate then concerned fans may rest assured - Shahrukh does indeed have friends!
