Besides cricket, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been a matter of glamor and stardom. With the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and Deepika Padukone spicing up the games, it seems as though Salman Khan
and ex-beau Katrina Kaif
will join the league as well. The latest buzz is that the Kochi IPL team, which has recently been christened the 'Indi Commandos' is eying this popular duo to endorse their team.
Katrina had earlier promoted the Royal Challengers Bangalore while macho-man Salman had reportedly been eager to buy a team of his own. However, it seems that the duo will perhaps be seen endorsing a brand new team together this season.
The co-owner of the team, Mukesh Patel, has already confirmed that talks are ongoing with both Salman and Katrina.
The Indi Commando franchise is owned by Kochi Cricket Pvt. Ltd., a consortium of various companies. The team, which is readying itself for its debut season of the IPL, has already shot a promotional video. The video was directed by esteemed director Priyadarshan and features the lead players of the team as well as artists from the Malayalam film industry.
Experts point out that if the deal is signed with the 'Dabangg' of the industry Salman as well as Barbie Doll Katrina, the team would get the much needed glamor co-efficient, which has become part and parcel of the high-profile league.
BollyCurry wishes the Indi Commandos a successful debut and hopes the star-quotient proves to be lucky for them.
