While many actresses are told to loose weight for their films,
the case is totally different for Kangana Ranaut
as she was told to pile
on the kilos instead!
Known for her petite frame, the actress has been advised that for the promotion of her upcoming flick Tanu Weds Manu
, she should gain back some of the weight she had whilst shooting it.
In the movie, Kangana's character hails from North Indian and is
seen looking a little plumper as girls from there are a little more on
the heavier side.
The story is that back in April when the actress was shooting for
the film, Kangana unfortunately fractured her leg which resulted her
being put on bed rest for a few weeks. It was during that time period
where she gained seven hefty kilos.
While she was reluctant to resume shooting because of the weight
gain, the director supported it stating that he was happy she had
happened to put on some weight instead of loosing it. Rai firmly
believes that girls from Uttar Pradesh tend to have a bit of a fuller
frame rather then being the obvious size zero our industry is inclined
Because in the film Kangana will be seen in a heavier look, Rai
suggested that she try to put back some of the weight that she
lost while shooting for No Problem before promotions for Tanu Weds Manu
begins. He believes that it's important that audience connect with the
character actors portray which is why he wants Kangana to regain the
weight. But while he's suggested the idea, the big question is
will Kangana comply to the advice?
Promotions for the film begin around the first week of January, ready for the release on February 25th.
Will we get to see a heavier side of Kangana? Keep an eye out for the promotional features to find out!
