It seems that Rani Mukerji's new year has not started off well at all!

Immediately after her performance at the Big Star Entertainment Awards that were held in Mumbai and shown on Star

Plus, Rani blasted her designer for giving her ill-fitted clothing.

At the awards, Rani was wearing a ghagra-choli and performed on a variety of hit tracks from her past Bollywood films starting from Koi Mil Gaya (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) and all the way to the title track of Dil Bole Hadippa.

It was when she was performing on her last track, Dilli from her upcoming film No One Killed Jessica, that Rani started having problems. It seemed that the skirt that Rani was wearing was extremely loose on her and kept slipping off at points. In order to spare herself a wardrobe malfunction, Rani had to keep returning backstage to fix it. But although the problem kept persisting throughout the performance, the actress kept her cool and got on with the entertainment.

It was after the performance when she lost her cool! As soon as getting off stage, Rani stepped into the media room where her designer made an appearance and asked her about the performance! Rani lost her calm demeanor and blasted that girl, furiously blaming her for the inconvenience she was caused due the the ill-fitted skirt.

Rani's regular designs for stage shows are done by Neeta Lulla and Sabyasachi Chakroborty. However, due to a lack of time, Rani had to resort to a new designer for her outfits hence the calamity.

Not a good start to the year indeed! Here's hoping that the rest of it fares better for our dear Ms. Mukherji!

dress rehearsals"HELLO"!!! least Rani should be thankful for getting something nice to wear in last minute...then again Designer's and Make-up artist are often get yelled upon by these "so called Stars"

Poor girl got a yelling for nothing. Rani should have told her before. They have dress rehearsals, and usually they try on the outfits before they have to perform.

i agree with "taral83" that there is something called dress rehearsal which i guess rani the so called top actress didn't do it as she might have got some star trantums and now she is blaming on the designer. I am not saying that the designer is at no fault... but according to me i think it was rani's mistake...

A few safety pins would have fixed it and maybe she should tried them on in advance before the actual performance to have time to fix things.
