The conflict was centered around the rights of the Malayalam superhit Bodyguard. Boney Kapoor originally bought the rights to remake the film in Hindi with Prabhudeva (of Wanted fame) as the director. However, Atul was very keen to be the one remaking the film and so, Salman asked Boney to give the rights to Atul.
Mr. Kapoor did not hesitate to give up the film due to his strong bond with Salman. There is no love lost between all involved and everyone is happy with the outcome. The remake will now be produced by Atul Agnihotri, directed by Siddique (who was the original director for the Malayalam version) and will star Salman himself.
Once again the macho man with a golden heart has come through for his family!
