BollyCurry's Fashion Police is back with a bang to cover the South African India Film & Television Awards (SAIFTA) 2013, which marks the celebration of cultures and talent from India and South Africa. The red carpet saw mostly TV stars, coupled with members from the big screen, but whether the fashion lived up to the festivities, read on to find out!
The "Pareshaan" singing sensation, Shalmali Kholgade (left), looked gorgeous in her indo-western anarkali style outfit. Where the sequined golden upper half made quite a statement, the bottom half balanced it out with grace and sheer elegance. The gold and black border below the pink fall works brilliantly and draws the attention effectively. With simple curls as her hairdo and dangling golden earrings, Kholgade drew quite a few impressive looks our side! BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5
Being a year of many new ventures for Priyanka Chopra
, her dynamic choices surprises us, as do her outfits! The combination of this royal blue and cream coloured lehenga saree
from Manish Malhotra's couture collection totally works in her favour. With the transparency and the inclusion of golden lace sequin work in places, the pallu
the blouse stand out and shows off that envious, toned body. Wavy hair-do and smokey eyes wins her extra brownie points. BollyCurry Rating: 4.5/5
The effervescent Ranveer Singh
always manages to make the ladies go ga-ga over him and rightly so! Dressed in ash-grey slimmed suit, coupled with a white shirt, and his ever-so-charming smile, he looks positively dashing. The skinny, black-tie only adds to the classy look, but kya kare yeh oh ladies, woh hai aadat se majboor
! We just can't wait for the mustache to wave goodbye. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5
The stunning Divya Dutta
was spotted at the red carpet as well, and with what a brilliant outfit! Dressed in a black gown, she spells out elegance. The outfit is simple and yet, one couldn't help but admire her in it. All eyes immediately land on the transparent designed full sleeves and coupled with a simple jewelry set, makeup plus hairdo, she looked beautiful. We're not too sure about the plunging neckline, though. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5
What can be said about this Student of the Year star? He's tall, he's handsome and he knows how to make heads turn! Donning a royal blue suit jacket, Siddharth Malhotra did just that. However, the stark contrast of the jet-black lapels looked a little out of place. Had the shirt been black instead of white, he'd have definitely scored a little higher on the fashion meter. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5
And that's it, folks! Let us know who tops your best dressed list and who took a mighty plunge in the worst dressed, and we'll see you next time with yet another wardrobe to review.
