It's the time of year where the French Riviera sees a lot of action. And we're not talking about girls enjoying summer in bikinis. We're actually talking about the famous Cannes Film Festival.


Though there are no Indian films running, the Indian presence is always strong at the festival. We have had notable actresses in the panel or visiting. Lets go back the memory lane!




The L'oreal brand ambassador has been at Cannes quite a few times. She  created quite a flutter with her gorgeous looks charmed everyone.  Her sense of style though drew a lot of flak from the fashion police.


Nevertheless, Ash single-handedly represented India gloriously each and every time she flashed those hazel eyes and walked down the carpet.




The sexy actress was part of Jackie Chan's 'The Myth' which took her to Cannes in 2005.


Mallika's eye-popping semi Indian outfits had everyone eating out of her hands.





Preity was spotted at Cannes on two occasions, once in 2008 and later in 2006. In 2006, she was there for a luncheon honoring Bollywood stars at Chopard Lounge.


Both times, the actress rocked. After all, with the pretty smile, lovely dimples, and friendly attitude, Preity conquers everyone's heart!




She's not just a pretty face. This actress turned director this year with Firaaq. She was a member of the jury along with Emir Kusturica and Mexican actress Salma Hayek in 2005.


The actress was a true representation of India when she appeared in sari and in typical Indian jewelery.



Well, this year we have more stars gracing Cannes. We certainly hope they leave good impressions like the others in the past!
