Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan will participate in a panel discussion as part of a National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show, an electronic media show covering filmed entertainment, to discuss the international appeal of Bollywood. The event is being held in Las Vegas.
"This landmark session will commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema, and will offer a look behind the scenes of 'Vishwaroopam', a Tamil spy thriller written, directed, starring and co-produced by Kamal Haasan," a statement said.
In the session, Haasan will be joined by Jeff Kleiser, board director of the Visual Effects Society, actress Pooja Kumar, visual effects supervisors Tim McGovern and Madhu Sudhanan N., and Ravi Velhal, global content policy strategist from Intel Corporation.
The session, 'Bollywood Beyond Borders', is part of the partnership between the 2013 NAB Show and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to organise events honouring the 100th year of Indian cinema.
Haasan will also receive an award on behalf of the Indian cinema fraternity. It will be presented by Chris Brown, executive vice president (Conventions and Business Operations) for NAB.
The NAB show began April 6 and will conclude April 13.
