The trend of sequels has hit tinsel town! BollyCurry brings you the official line of sequels slated to hit cinema halls in 2012. Hold on tight, because the list is longer than expected!

After receiving an average response for Housefull, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan bring you part 2 of the Housefull series. If you thought the first motion picture had a huge star cast, the second installment outdoes it. Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Asin, Zarine Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rani Mukherjee, Karisma Kapur and Malaika Arora Khan (phew!) will all be seen in this one venture. This comedy is confirmed to release on April 5th, 2012.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum
After seven years, Balaji Telefilms releases the second installment of the Kya Kool Hai Hum series titled, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. The sequel will see Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Neha Sharma, Sarah Jane Dias and Chunky Pandey. The original film was criticized by critics but loved by the audience. Directed by Sachin Yardi, a teaser of the film was released in December 2011. The adult comedy will release during the summer of this year.
The Bhatt brothers bring you part 2 of their successful venture Jannat. Jannat 2 will feature Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda and Esha Gupta. Earlier, Prachi Desai had been signed on as the female lead, however director Kunal Deshmukh felt Desai wasn't fit for the role as she became uncomfortable with portraying a sensual character. Will Jannat 2 prove to be blissful for Mahesh Bhatt again? Find out on April 27th , 2012.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2
Balaji Motion Pictures' Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2 will see an entirely new cast. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, rumour mills state that Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Illeana D'Cruz will be seen as the leads. Kareena Kapoor was supposedly offered a role but chose to decline it when she heard about Shahid's addition. The release date for this installment has not been officially released but it is speculated to be during the summer of 2012.

Race 2
One of 2008's finest films, Race is ready to set the screen on fire yet again with part numero 2. The action thriller sees Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel and Bipasha Basu in the sequel. Sonakshi Sinha had been earlier signed on but due to date clashes with Dabangg 2, she had to be replaced. Will Race 2 face the same astonishing fate as Race? Catch this twisted thriller with an exceptional star cast on November 30th, 2012.

Dabangg 2
Dabangg broke records after records in 2010. Consequently, producer Arbaaz Khan announced the sequel shortly after. However, a few noted changes will bring in Dabangg 2. Arbaaz Khan dons the director's hat and Sonu Sood will not be seen as the main villain in the second franchise. Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha will again play the main leads with the story shifting to a city setting. Dabangg 2 is projected to be a Christmas 2012 release.

Over the summer, Mahesh Bhatt confirmed the second sequel of Raaz via Twitter. He also announced that the star cast along with their character names - Emraan Hashmi as Aditya, Jacqueline Fernandez as Sanjana and Bipasha Basu as Shanaya. Bhatt also revealed the release date of August 31st , 2012. This venture will be available 3D.

Other sequels like Dostana 2, Dhoom 3 and Krrish 2 are speculated to have late 2012 or early 2013 releases.

I seriously don't understand when Emraan hashmi has done awesome job in OUATIM as shohaib, what was the need to rope in akshay kumar? Seems like producers can't get over myth that stars only can make a film hit inspite of tasting huge success with ajay devgn and emraan hashmi. Shahid will be exciting to watch in such a film after kaminey and ileana d'cruz will prove to be excellent choice as lead. Hope they both are confirmed.
