As reported earlier, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's name emerged in the Call Detail Record (CDR) scam for allegedly spying on his wife. The police is yet to present strong evidence against the actor and are currently investigating all possible angles.

Now, even actress Kangana Ranaut has been dragged in the same controversy.

As a part of their investigation, last week, the Thane Police arrested celebrity lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui for interrogation and that's when news about he revealing Kangana Ranaut's name in the list of celebrities who asked him for call records, started making rounds.

Reportedly, it is being said that Kangana messaged Hrithik Roshan's number to lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui to get Hrithik's call records. But, an evidence about the same is yet to be presented.

Police are currently finding out whether the lawyer had sourced Hrithik's Call Detail Records (CDR) to Kangana or not.

In response to the allegations put on her by the Police, Kangana Ranaut has released a statement slamming the police officer in charge of the case for not doing his job properly.

Says Kangana, "When we respond to a notice, we give all details to the lawyer. To assume that these details were used to violate law and make statements based on that assumption and defame an artist is super lame on Abhishek Trimukhe's part.

"Proper investigation should be carried out before making assumptions."

However, if the Police succeeds in presenting evidence against Kangana then there are strong possibilities that her controversy with Hrithik Roshan will be reopened.
