Kochi, Oct 2 (IANS) The lull of the Ramadan month still continues, without any new releases. The list of top five Malayalam films remains virtually the same.

The top five Malayalam films are:

1. 'Ore Kadal' - Both Mammootty and Meera Jasmine have given performance that can win them awards. Directed by Shyamaprasad, the film tells the story of an illicit affair between a renowned economist and a young housewife.

2. 'Alibhai' - The Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas duo repeats its act for the umpteenth time.

3. 'Arabikatha' - The Lal Jose- directed film takes a swipe at the leftist ideology popular in the state. Sreenivasan's superlative performance is a special attraction.

4. 'Hello' - This Rafi-Mecartin film has become the saving grace for Mohanlal, turning out to be one of the biggest hits of the year.

5. 'Naivedhyam' - This film by veteran director Lohithadas re-enters this list. Newcomers Vinumohan and Satyabhama impress with their charm.
