Actor Rana Daggubati says that his "Baahubali" co-star Prabhas deserves more credit than anyone for his involvement because what he has done for the film is greater than any other individuals contribution.

"What Prabhas has done for the film and what he has given is far greater than any of us could have done," Rana told IANS, heaping praise on his co-star with whom he locks horns in the film.

In the film, Prabhas and Rana play warring brothers who fight over the ownership of an ancient kingdom.

Asked about the debate on who is the real hero of "Baahubali" on social media, he said: "This is a franchise-based film and it's not driven by just one character. If you look at the franchise, each character is important from the perspective of the story. It's the content that even drives all the actors but not any individual's stardom."

He also went on to add that both their characters are equally important.

"We are like Ram and Raavan. Without these two characters, there's no Ramayan. Similarly, without Prabhas and I, there's no 'Baahubali'. We complement each other as characters and we need each other," he said.

Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the film also stars Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan.

Well said! This movie was driven by all its central characters. Without any one of them, it wouldn't have become the success that it is. Bahubali, Shivudu, Bhallaladeva, Sivagami, Kattappa, Devasena among many others all did an excellent job.

Agree. But one thing that bothers me about Baahubali 2, is that Bhallaldev was more shrewd and got away with almost all his schemes and reigned supreme till his old age, tut tut.. While Amarendra lost his life young, Devasena languised in chains, Shivagami died treacherously and Mahendra was not as strong as his dad and was even losing out to an aging Bhallaldeva. Somehow the content lacked depth and was not satisfying. I enjoyed Baahubali 1 content wise.

Agreed...without Sita also Ramayan is no where..and moreover Anushka Shetty as Devasena nd Ramya Krishna as Shivagami are also the main pillars of the movie..Their acting is par behind excellence and The 2 Machos provided d Action part nd d two beauties handled the emotional and Acting Content very well..Overall it was a team effort!!
