'Homosexuality' is getting a good hype in Bollywood. Until now, it was just used as comic element in the film. However, the filmmakers take up this Kona Kona senguptasubject seriously. Recently movie 'Fashion' saw gays in the glamour world. Actors Harsh Chaaya and Purab Kohli respectively played these roles.

Next was 'Dostana', where actors John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan though did not played gay in reality but pretended to be 'boyfriends' to each other.

Now 'lesbian'- one more element of 'homosexuality' to hit the industry with 'President is Coming'. The movie is about four different people who meet President George Bush. This movie stars Konkona Sen Sharma who will be playing a role of a homosexual.

Konkona always comes up with something different..

i dont understand why so many people think that homesexuality should be ''banned''? Its not a phenomen, its the way some people are banned? who would it please for them to lie about who they are? their spouses who remain unloved, or their parents, who end up with a child that is perhaps just not happy?

I think konkona is great, looking forward to this film.

    The World is Changing......

I totally undersatand the points everyone is making....but guys the world is changing.... Homosexuality is evident in society. I personally think I film which hightlights this fact is not a bad thing. Obviously they will not show the extreme (I don''t think it will be the bollywood''s answer to Brokeback Mountain) but I believe that it is about time that people face up to the issue. I have no problem with anyones sexual preference.

I for one am glad something different will be shown, i feel sorry for those ppl who go thru soo much pain day in day out and all their fault is that they like the same sex?
as coolguys said, we have to face up to it. Atleast its got a bit of reality in it now otherwise it will be all fantasy and sugar coated!

Being gay isn''t a choice, they just are born that way..it''s not like one day you just think to yourself hmm, I think I''ll be gay today because I saw a comedy movie about being gay last night...

And exposure to movies about gay people isn''t going to turn people gay..it''s just trying to shed light on what isn''t such a taboo subject in other places of the world. I was born and raised in Canada, so obviously I was exposed to different things then conservative/old fashion Indians.. and my parents are very opposed to gay marriage..and I believe it is mainly due to their lack of knowledge of homosexuality [and that could also explain more than half of the other comments].
