Mumbai, Sep 9 (IANS) Abhishek Bachchan decided to give himself and dad Amitabh a treat after their two-month-long 'Unforgettable' world tour - they bonded while watching an English Premier League match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
'We went to watch the Chelsea team play a football match, and we had a great time,' Abhishek told IANS after coming back home to Mumbai.
Bachchan Junior has been an ardent supporter of Chelsea and said that he enjoyed sharing time with his dad at London's Stamford Bridge.
'I had been to the Chelsea matches several times. But it was the first time for Pa. And I was excited both by the thought of attending my favourite's team match and by the fact that my dad was so excited. We had ourselves a ball.'
The father and son were invited as special guests of Chelsea team owner Roman Ebramowich. And they sat in Ebramowich's private enclave watching the Chelsea team play.
'It was 90 minutes of gripping entertainment. And we both had fun. Dad is a new Chelsea convert,' said Abhishek.
While the two had a whale of a time, Indian spectators there too were excited on seeing the Bollywood stars.
'But we were all there as one big stadium of fans. It didn't matter who we were ... beyond being Chelsea fanatics,' Abhishek quipped.
And though Aishwarya also went along it was basically a father-son bonding binge.
'It was a wonderful and befitting finale to our concerts,' said Abhishek.
'Now dad has gone to Paris while I'm back in Mumbai. It feels good to be back home.'
The 'Unforgettable' world tour saw the Bachchans - Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya - perform in cities across the US and Britain, accompanied by top stars like Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta.
