Bangalore, Sep 5 (IANS) Kannada actress Pooja Gandhi has replaced Tanya Vakil in Tamil film 'Thiruvannamalai' and says she has a special role in this action flick.
The film is being directed by Perarasu and Pooja, who featured in hits like 'Mungaru Male', 'Milana' and the recently released 'Taj Mahal', is paired with action star Arjun in it.
'I know it will be an action entertainer. But Perarasu's previous records show that he has a knack for making box office hits. I have a special role in this racy entertainer,' Pooja told IANS.
The actress is currently shooting for 'Thiruvannamalai' in Chennai.
'I'm enjoying every bit of shooting in a studio though the blistering heat is a matter of concern,' said Pooja.
Pooja's first Kannada film 'Mungaru Male' was released in December 2006 and within 20 months she has climbed the top of the ladder. And she has also endeared herself by talking in Kannada in all the film related functions.
Commenting upon her other projects, she said: 'I have not signed any other film yet. There is another big film that is coming my way, but I do not want to discuss about it as of now. I will certainly reveal it after I sign the project.'
Perarasu, who gave a string of hits like 'Tiruppachchi', 'Sivakasi', and 'Tirupati', hopes to strike gold again with 'Thiruvannamalai', which is being produced by K. Balachandar's Kavithalaya Productions.
